"An ever reliable nursery which has produced quality plants for the Southern Otway Landcare Network for many years. Otway Greening prides itself on producing even the species which are tough to grow. Our Landcare Network cannot recommend this nursery highly enough."
Jack Pascoe
Pest Plant and Animal Co-ordinator
Southern Otway Landcare Network

"Mike Robinson-Koss is a "regional treasure". His passion for preserving the provenance of the vegetation in the Otways and environs  is infectious and he manages to inspire us all to encompass this vision within our own unique landscapes. Well done Otway Greening."
K

"The best quality plant stock I've ever bought.  The plants are acclimatised and really sturdy – resulting in almost no losses.
A fantastic selection of indigenous plants which means they thrive."
Sherryl

"We were absolutely thrilled with the job that Mike from Otway Greening did for us on our property in Apollo Bay. We started with bare hills that were constantly having landslips to now 8 years later having a forest with very stable land. Mike and his staff were fantastic in their endeavours as our property was very difficult to work on as the terrain is very steep and the land is battered with coastal wind. But we still had a very good success rate and are very happy with the outcome."

Lyn and Ben Olstein

"The tree seedlings from Otway Greening are so healthy - we get a very high survival rate. It is great to plant trees that you know are indigenous to your area and Otway Greening always provide excellent information about the right conditions for every plant. Mike is always happy to provide advice."
Tracey Slatter

"We have been planting and recommending trees from Otway Greening for over fifteen years now.  A large part of our business is providing specialist advise to our clients which includes tree selection.  Mike and his team have provided us with outstanding quality plants and even offered us some valuable advice over the years. We recommend Otway Greening to anyone who needs indigenous plants."
Stephen Bayley
Managing director, Tree Watch Vegetation Management company

"In the 10 years that our project has been using Otway Greening plants, we have always received reliable, professional service and a quality product. I don't hesitate to recommend Otway Greening to other people and point out that Mike and Wendy have such a wealth of knowledge about their local area and can help with selecting the most appropriate species for your individual site."
Greening Australia, Colac

"Mike and Wendy at Otway Greening provided me with advice, assistance and healthy indigenous species. My windbreak is thriving!"
Judy Cameron, Bambra

".... great friendly service and very helpful advice plus healthy seedlings that just grow and grow! Locally collected seeds produce trees aclimatised for our area that thrive. It is always a pleasure to call in to be greeted by either Mike or Wendy who are always happy and have a few minutes to pass the time of day and help solve tree problems. We would not go anywhere else - why would you!"
David and Jackie Reid, Bambra

"Having Mike and Wendy supply and plant  thousands trees of trees for us was a pleasure from start to finish. OG is one of those rare
businesses that benefits the local economy, the environment and the customer all at once. Those trees are now eleven years old and are part of a huge green patchwork 'carpet' that Mike has been involved in establishing- and which we feel proud to be part of."

Rob and Julia Ditterich

"We went to Otway Greening when we were faced with a large area of our property which needed revegetation work undertaken. We took Mike's advice on the types and varieties of plants which would suit are site and have been delighted with the results. Whilst we have found that you cannot always trust in the weather that you will get after you do your planting, with plants from OG you will have the bet chance of getting your reveg work right first time around."
Sean and Anita, Forrest

"Every region needs a good indigenous plant nusery run by people who know and care for the local environment. Otway Greening is ours and our landscape is better because of it."
Rowan Reid, Bambra Agroforestry Farm

"Since we densely planted the Goodenia at the front of the park 5 years ago, the endangered Ruful Bristlebird has moved in and bred up like crazy.
Otway Greening is not the sort of nursery you pop into for a few plants – you enter into a relationship.
Exceptional service.  Mike didn't just sell us plants – he worked with us from inception, providing great advice, planning and layout, extraordinary plant and local area knowledge and ongoing input.  Our park would not be the lovely, interesting haven it is without Mike's participation."

Sherryl Smith

"As I ride around our farm enjoying the protection of our agroforestry shelter belts and look at the revegetated creeks with over 40 species I often think what it was like 20 years ago with degraded creeks, unprotected paddocks and no connected wildlife corridors. I also think of the tree seedlings when first planted and thank Otway Greening for their wisdom, advice and support over the years and how they have had a major impact on the way our farm has developed. Thanks Mike, Wendy, Mikala and the famous prickettes."
Andrew and Jill Stewart, Farmers

"I have been using plant stock supplied by Otway Greening for a number of years on different revegetation projects.  I have found the quality of stock to be of a constantly superior quality and the fact that the seed is collected locally, appears to give the plants an increased vigour and durability once they are in the ground.  Add in Mike's friendly and knowledgable
service and you have a great nursery."

James Maund, Architect

"As a novice, Mike and Wendy patiently walked me through an extensive
revegetation project on our property. Their advice was always practical, useful and welcome. On behalf of the thousands of happy trees at our place - thank you!"

Richard Di Natale

"Right from the start when we contacted Mike at Otway Greening we were impressed with his work ethic, which so many lack these days .He  keeps his appointments, does his work efficiently ,and at a reasonable rate.Mike was asked by us to plan out a native bush walk on a pasture block, this he did with a wonderful description of the fragrances and feelings that will be experienced on this walk.I have no problem recommending Mike of Otway Greening to anyone."
David and Theresa

"As a member of Australian Plants Society Victoria, I applaud your nursery for propagating and distributing indigenous plants of the Otways throughout the Western District and beyond."

Brendon

"We have purchased hundreds of plants from Otway Greening and have been really pleased with the quality and variety of species available. Our little piece of bush in Gerangamete has been improved immensely as a result of Mike and Wendy's beautiful trees, shrubs & understory species and we have another order in for this year."

Rod and Kylie

"We have lived in Deans Marsh for 13 years and we live on a small 22ha farm. During that time we have had a number of successful dealings with Otway Greening to plant shelter trees. All of these ventures have been successful.
Recently we decided to follow the recommendations of our local Agroforestry group and plant a corridor of 500 trees along our western boundary. This area is very exposed to strong winds as well as both wet and dry conditions. The trees consisted of 300 shelter trees and 200 harvest trees (spotted gum).
We asked Mike and Wendy for their help. We planted at the end of August 2011 and they not only supplied the trees but also planted most of them. We sprayed the area beforehand and we installed the tree guards.
Despite some extreme weather conditions since then the trees have progressed well without any particular care apart from weed control.
Needless to say we are extremely happy with the result thanks to Otway Greening."

Claire and Don Clark

"Mike has collected local seed, grown seedlings, prepared the site and planted as part of the process to revegetate Thompson's Creek at Moriac.
Throughout the early negotiations and through to planting, he has been knowledgeable, very helpful and always cooperative. Whatever has been successful is due to his good works.
I regret not knowing about his business and involving him in the earlier plantings we have undertaken."

Phil

"We are very happy with all products and services offered by Otway Greening and wish them continuing success in their very worthwhile venture, which is helping to maintain and restore our beautiful piedmont landscape."
Peter and Jan Greig of Gosling Creek Wines

"We have purchased several hundred trees from Otway Greening and have much appreciated Mike's advice on which species will do best on our property and how we should care for them."
Peter and Deryn Thomas, Pennyroyal
